PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the AP Clerk is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services. This role has room for growth within the Company
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Process AP invoices with a daily goal of 65 entries
- Process check requests
- Process all non po invoices
- Oversee email inbox, responding to vendors
- Work vendor statements
- Setup new vendors
- Scan and file away invoice batches
- Assist with ad hoc AP duties as requested
- Assist with month end close
- Cross train in various AP functions for backup purposes
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: (Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.)
- Required to sit for long periods of time
- Required to use hands to finger (keyboarding) for long periods of time
- Required to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Required specific vision abilities: Close vision
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must have 5 years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent, College courses in accounting preferred
- Must have a strong work ethic with a team player attitude
- Must be punctual in all job activities
- Must have effective business writing and professional communication skills
- Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related computer skills
- Must have effective customer service skills
- Must have professional mannerism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must have the ability to multi task, be spontaneous in desk duties, and prioritize job requests
- Preferably have experience with Equipment Rental software (Rental Man)
